There are many different types of periodontal diseases and each has a different treatment option. A proper home oral care routine of brushing and flossing prevents most periodontal diseases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">WHY IS ORAL HYGIENE SO IMPORTANT?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Three out of four adults will be affected by gum diseases in their lifetime. In fact, adults over 35 lose more teeth to periodontal diseases than cavities. Periodontal diseases are caused by plaque. If plaque is not routinely removed, it will harden into a rough substance.
